about this artwork

This painting by Virginie Schroeder evokes the softness and lightness of a moment suspended by the sea. Through a light palette dominated by turquoise blues and warm touches of orange and pink, the artist captures the peaceful atmosphere of a sunbathed beach. Minimalist silhouettes and large stylized palm trees bring a feeling of escape and freedom, almost timeless. The gestureal and spontaneous work of matter reinforces the freshness and modernity of the composition. Between abstraction and figuration, Virginie Schroeder creates here a luminous and soothing scene, imprinted with summer poetry.
